This Michelin star restaurant has quite the menu and some intricate specials. The dip duo, guac, salsa and queso was not the epic app I was wanting it to be. We thought the chips were a little too thick The shrimp camarones was absolutely delicious and that lime rice mixed with a side of their black beans is the way to go. Loved this dish. My friend had one of the specials the sea bass and she devoured it before I even got a taste of it so I'm going to say she gave it two thumbs up. The margs and non-alcoholic drinks were solid as well. The server had an amazing knowledge of the menu and really went into detail on the specials which we enjoyed. Five star staff! The vibe was very open concept with lots of large communal tables. It's funny that on the same street we usually go to El Carmen and we're always told they have too many reservations and they squeeze us in just barely each time. Here we are at a Michelin star restaurant and we just walked right in no reservation, no problem. Seated immediately. Thought that was strange but glad we have two choices for Mexican food on 3rd Street.

Fantastic happy hour! Tried the choriqueso, tacos al pastor, and carnitas tacos, all were delicious. The meat in the tacos was so tender and juicy-especially the carnitas. We also tried the Mercado margarita and the flor de Jamaica which was like a hibiscus margarita and very refreshing. Service was quick and attentive. And the high tops by the window are a great place to people watch along third street. Would absolutely recommend!

A friend and I went for HH on a Tuesday. Positives: The ambience was on point with an indoor/outdoor vibe. Bar area looked inviting. Food was very aesthetically pleasing and tasted delicious. We seemed to have two server, one who initially greeted us and took out drink order and the second who followed up with the drinks and food order. Both were friendly and personable. Negatives: the guy at the host desk wasn't friendly, no smile. Parking is find your own spot. Since it was early afternoon we were able to find parking in a nearby neighborhood. We also saw a parking lot across the street and down a little from Mercado. Most negative for me was that I could smell the cleaning agent the entire time I was sitting in the restaurant. It smelt like Fabuloso which wasn't pleasant to us.
